The Hollins Royals will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Osceola Warriors on February 6th. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
After soaring to a 40-point victory in their last game, Hollins came back down to earth on Thursday. They fell just short of Lakeside Christian by a score of 64-62. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (59), Hollins still had to take the loss.
Malachi Miller put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 27 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Josh Castallani, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 16 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Osceola entered their tilt with the Barons with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Osceola strolled past the Barons with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 76-60.
Hollins' loss dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Osceola, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-11.
Hollins was able to grind out a solid win over the Warriors when the teams last played back in January, winning 60-47. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Osceola's Eleven Williams, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
