The Bridges Prep Buccaneers lost against the Whale Branch Warriors back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Bridges Prep had to suffer through a rough 58-20 loss at the hands of Whale Branch. Bridges Prep has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Zaria Coaxum had a dynamite game for Whale Branch, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. Coaxum continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Larmore Pryor, who scored 15 points along with six steals and five rebounds.
Bridges Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Whale Branch, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-16.
Bridges Prep won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Branchville at 6:30 p.m. on February 8th. Branchville comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 15 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. Whale Branch does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
