Rondout Valley has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on The Ellenville Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Rondout Valley owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance on Saturday. They had just enough and edged Livingston Manor-Roscoe Central out 2-0.
Meanwhile, Ellenville had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They claimed a resounding 46-6 win over Tri-Valley at home.
Jacob Wright was his usual excellent self, rushing for 285 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 15.8 yards per carry. Wright was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 62 yards. Another player making a difference was Dylan Nero, who rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries.
Rondout Valley has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season. As for Ellenville, their win was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 4-3.
