On Tuesday, the Eastwood Troopers's game was all tied up 21-21 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They managed a 47-41 victory over Pebble Hills. For Eastwood, this counts as revenge for the 54-42 defeat Pebble Hills walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2023.
Leading Eastwood to victory were Naythan Sauceda and Marcus Bennett. Sauceda dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds, while Bennett scored 18 points. Those ten rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Julien Falk-ramirez, who scored eight points.
Eastwood is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season. As for Pebble Hills, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-8.
Eastwood will be playing in front of their home fans against Alamogordo at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Pebble Hills, they will head out on the road to face off against El Dorado at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. El Dorado will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 951st, while Pebble Hills is ranked 306th).
