When it comes to explaining why Gouverneur lost, one person who can't be blamed is Raine Rumble. Despite the final result, he scored 24 points. Rumble scored a full 42.9% of Gouverneur's points, the tenth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Jared Donaldson, who scored eight points.
Gouverneur bumped their record down to 5-5 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Franklin Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.
Gouverneur will head out on the road to face off against Massena at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Franklin Academy, they will be playing at home against Potsdam at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
