After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Episcopal, the St. Stephen's Episcopal Spartans were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They walked away with a 46-36 win over Hyde Park. That's another feather in the cap for St. Stephen's Episcopal, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Donnica Armstrong was her usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedy Lartigue, who scored 11 points along with three steals.
St. Stephen's Episcopal has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Hyde Park, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost nine of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Stephen's Episcopal will take on Houston Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hyde Park, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Cornerstone Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th. Hopefully Cornerstone Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Friday.
