After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Kaplan, Ponchatoula was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Mandeville Skippers as Ponchatoula made off with an 11-2 win. The Green Wave might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matches by six runs or more this season.
Abby Dagro made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Dagro was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, Paityn Lancaster was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Rae'El Wheat was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
Ponchatoula kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 10-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
