The Design Tech Dragons lost against The Nueva School Mavericks back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Design Tech was the victim of a tough 68-42 loss at the hands of The Nueva School. Design Tech has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Design Tech still got an impressive performance from Bassam (Sam) Karadshe, who scored 28 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Karadshe has scored all season.
Gabe Ciechanover was his usual excellent self, scoring 31 points for The Nueva School. The team also got some help courtesy of Steven Liu, who scored eight points.
Design Tech dropped their record down to 2-13 with that loss, which was their tenth straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.3 points per game. As for The Nueva School, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.
Design Tech won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Summit Preparatory at 7:20 p.m. on January 31st. Summit Preparatory has insisted on making their lastfour contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 0-4 during that stretch of close contests. As for The Nueva School, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Summit Shasta at 7:00 p.m. Summit Shasta has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 850 points over their last 11 matches.
