With a playoff win on the line, Canby rose to the challenge  on Friday. They put the hurt on the Wabasso Rabbits with a sharp  3-0 win. Winning may never get old, but the Lancers sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
 Canby never let Wabasso on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-21,  25-22.
Leading Canby to victory were  Jaryn Houseman and  Alexa Vernlund.  Houseman  had 15  digs and two  aces, while  Vernlund  had nine  digs and three  aces. That's the most  digs  Houseman has posted  over her last six  matchups.
 They weren't the only good servers: Canby  was lethal from the service line and  finished the match with ten  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least five  aces in 13 consecutive  contests.
Canby's victory bumped their record up to 20-10. As for Wabasso, their loss dropped their record down to 17-11.
Canby will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Rabbits: the pair will be back at it again later today.
