Colby Rivera and Christian Torrico provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Poly. The connection went for 56 yards, the longest such play in Prep this season.
Rio Hondo Prep extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Panthers, 49-0. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
Rio Hondo Prep's dynamic duo of Rivera and Torrico proved tough for Poly to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Rivera threw for 112 yards and two touchdowns and Torrico had 56 yards receiving. Jake Holguin helped Rio Hondo Prep's passing attack out by catching two balls for 42 yards.
Peter Mavredakis provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Chadwick bested Webb. He completed three passes for 105 yards and two touchdowns and also ran for 200 yards. Mavredakis' favorite target this week was Cameron Bartlett, who caught one pass for 53 yards.
The Dolphins' Cole Freeman and Jacob Radeski have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Freeman has thrown for 1406 yards this season, while Radeski, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 28 catches for 359 yards. Flintridge Prep's Stefan Smith leads the league in rushing yards with 1174.
In 156 carries Mavredakis has accumulated 985 yard this year.
Chadwick made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 11,547 from 11,648. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 52-0 victory over the Gauls last week.
