Chavez is 8-2 against Kennedy since January of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Chavez Titans will look to defend their home court against the Kennedy Thunderbirds at 6:30 p.m. Chavez has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 301 points over their last five matchups.
Chavez pushed their score all the way to 61 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 68-61 to Taft.
Meanwhile, Kennedy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 56-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Shafter.
Chavez's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Kennedy, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.
Chavez came out on top in a nail-biter against Kennedy when the teams last played back in February of 2023, sneaking past 2-0. Does Chavez have another victory up their sleeve, or will Kennedy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
