The Mosley Dolphins just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the Crestview Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Thursday, things could have been worse for Mosley, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 47-29 loss to Choctawhatchee. While losing is never fun, Mosley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 247th, while Choctawhatchee is ranked 79th).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Sherilyn Sanchez, who scored six points along with nine rebounds. That's the first time this season that she pulled down eight or more rebounds. Mandi Grontas was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Crestview suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Booker T. Washington on the road and fell 67-17. Crestview was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-7.
Mosley's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-7. As for Crestview, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-11.
Mosley might still be hurting after the 50-24 defeat they got from Crestview when the teams last played back in December of 2022. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Mosley was down 38-9.
