In what's become a running theme this season, the James Kenan Tigers gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 69-47 margin over East Duplin. Given James Kenan's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 249th, while East Duplin is ranked 604th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, East Duplin had strong showings from Calvin Harper, who scored 14 points along with two steals, and Jeremiah Judge, who scored 11 points.
James Kenan has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for East Duplin, they dropped their record down to 2-14 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. James Kenan will face off against Clinton at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Clinton has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for East Duplin, they will head out on the road to face off against Kinston at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
