Northview has gone a perfect 5-0 against Cloverdale recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Knights will be playing in front of their home fans against the Clovers at 5:30 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Thursday.
Cloverdale will be up against a hot Northview team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Knights never let Owen Valley get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory on Tuesday. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by eight runs or more this season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Cloverdale, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They put the hurt on Mooresville Christian with a sharp 11-1 win on Monday. The Clovers not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 7, 2025 (when they won 17-0).
Norah Frye made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out 11 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.4 strikeouts per game. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Adelaide Meyerrose, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Aaliyah Burroff was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Cloverdale's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Northview, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
Northview skirted past Cloverdale 4-2 when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Clovers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
