The Edgewood Lions will head out on the road to square off against the Temecula Prep Patriots at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Edgewood is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in California (they are ranked 323rd, while Temecula Prep is ranked 705th).
Edgewood extended their postseason success on Friday against Glendale Adventist. They put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 5-0 victory. The high-flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Edgewood considering their one-goal performance the match before.
Meanwhile, Temecula Prep has not lost a match since January 8th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Redlands Adventist Academy. Three seems to be a good number for Temecula Prep as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.
The victory was the third in a row for Edgewood, bringing their record for this year to 16-3-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored nine goals over those three contests. As for Temecula Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 10-5-2 record this season.
