Baseball Recap: Poudre Sets Scoring Season-High Against Northridge

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Poudre). They never let the Northridge Grizzlies get on the board and left with a 15-0 win on Friday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Impalas as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Poudre let Benny Quast and Chase Barrett run wild. Quast went 2-for-3 with five RBI, one run, and one double, while Barrett went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That's the most hits Barrett has posted since back in May of 2024.

Poudre always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .621. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Poudre's win bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Northridge, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-18.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Poudre will head out to challenge Fort Collins at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northridge, they will venture away from home to take on Roosevelt at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Grizzlies' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Roughriders have averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season.
