Basketball Recap: Sanai Cyrus Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Tallulah Falls

There's no place like home for Loganville Christian Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They came out on top against the Tallulah Falls Indians by a score of 43-30 on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Lions: when they faced off against the Indians last Saturday, they had to take a 47-35 defeat.

Loganville Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sanai Cyrus led the charge by dropping a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Cyrus has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Dachelle Lucas was another key player, putting up 11 points and five boards.

Loganville Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in three consecutive matches.

Loganville Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Tallulah Falls, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Loganville Christian Academy will square off against George Walton Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday down 110 places (142 vs. 32). Similarly, Tallulah Falls (ranked 285th) will meet Athens Christian (ranked 25th) at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
