Caurus Academy is 4-0 against Orme since December of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. Caurus Academy will head out on the road to challenge the Orme Warriors at 4:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Caurus Academy suffered their closest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They fell just short of New Way Learning Academy by a score of 44-42.
Meanwhile, Orme's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a 42-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of Verde Valley.
Despite the loss, Orme got a solid performance out of Bartek Kreglewski, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Kreglewski also posted two+ blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Welty, who scored six points.
Caurus Academy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-4 record this season. As for Orme, they bumped their record down to 3-5 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Caurus Academy strolled past Orme in their previous meeting on Thursday by a score of 56-41. The rematch might be a little tougher for Caurus Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
