It was a good run, but The Carteret Ramblers unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 20-12 to Hillside. Carteret has struggled against Hillside recently, as their contest on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Among those leading the charge was Talibi Kaba, who rushed for 154 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries. Kaba's longest rush was for an incredible 73 yards. Chibugo Chigozie-nwosu also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Carteret's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Hillside, their victory was their fifth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 6-2.
Carteret will challenge Camden at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Camden will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak. As for Hillside, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Sparta at 1:00 p.m.
