Lynn got themselves on the board against Winston County on Saturday, but Winston County never followed suit. They blew past the Yellowjackets 8-0. Considering the Bears have won 14 games by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Dylan Dunagan and Cade Key made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Dunagan pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Key didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. At the plate, Dunagan scored a run while going 1-for-3, while Key scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Those two runs gave Key a new career-high.
In other batting news, Austin Dodd was excellent, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-4. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Coby Sherer, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Lynn's victory bumped their record up to 18-7. As for Winston County, they dropped their record down to 6-13 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.
