The East Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They took a hard 79-60 fall against McKinley. East has struggled against McKinley recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, East still got an impressive performance from Mysean Morrison, who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for him. Rhondell Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with six rebounds.
East's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-6. As for McKinley, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.
East will head out on the road to face off against Middle Early College at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. McKinley and Bishop Timon-St. Jude will round out the year against one another at 2:00 p.m. on December 29th at.
