After a big victory against Hampden four weeks ago, Mount Desert Island came back down to earth. Mount Desert Island have to be aching after a bruising 12-44 defeat to Nokomis on Saturday. Mount Desert Island were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Nokomis apparently hadn't forgotten their loss from the last time the teams met up.
The defeat dropped Mount Desert Island's record to 1-5. The win got Nokomis back to even at 3-3.
Next week Mount Desert Island take on John Bapst Memorial at 7:00 PM. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games. Nokomis will look to defend their home turf against Hampden at 1:00 PM. Nokomis will be strutting in after a win while Hampden will be stumbling in from a defeat.
