Rouse is on a five-game streak of home wins, while the Timberwolves are on a five-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Rouse Raiders will take on the Cedar Park Timberwolves at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rouse has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 295 points over their last four games.
You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Rouse's strategy against the Grizzlies on Friday. Rouse enjoyed a cozy 66-52 victory over the Grizzlies. Given Rouse's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 31st, while the Grizzlies are ranked 149th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jojo Moore was his usual excellent self, shooting 4-for-4 from deep and almost dropping a triple-double on 19 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists. He hasn't dropped below 19 points for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Amarie Haywood, who scored 16 points.
Meanwhile, Cedar Park was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 47-46 to the Lions.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Christian Faulkner, who scored 12 points. Nabil Ismail was another key contributor, scoring five points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Rouse has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 24-7 record this season. As for Cedar Park, their loss dropped their record down to 18-12.
Tuesday's match is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: Rouse have been dynamite from deep this season, having made 48.2% of their threes per game. However, it's not like Cedar Park struggles in that department as they've made 43.9% of their threes this season. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Rouse beat the Timberwolves 67-54 in their previous meeting back in January. Does Rouse have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Timberwolves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
