After flying high against the Cascade Cadets last Saturday, the Brownsburg Bulldogs came back down to earth. Brownsburg took a hard 60-45 fall against Fishers on Friday. While losing is never fun, Brownsburg can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 40th, while Fishers is ranked first).
Despite the loss, Brownsburg still got an impressive performance from Jordan Lomax, who scored 20 points along with three steals. Brendan Lattimer was another key contributor, scoring four points.
Brownsburg has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Fishers, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 14-0.
Brownsburg's road trip will continue as they head out to face Castle at 2:15 p.m. on January 13th. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Xander Niehaus and Grant Porath. As for Fishers, they will head out on the road to square off against Avon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Avon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 last Thursday.
