It was fun while it lasted, but Carver's undefeated season came to an end after seven games on Friday. They took a 62-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sandy Creek Patriots. The loss put an end to the Tigers' undefeated start to the season.

When it comes to explaining why Carver lost, don't look at Tobiaz Tolbert. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. Tolbert has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Kobe Caslin, who posted 12 points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Carver fell to 7-1. As for Sandy Creek, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-1.

Carver and Etowah will face off at 6:15 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Sandy Creek, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Crestwood Prep (North York, Ontario) at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday.
