Even though the Valley Forge Patriots scored an imposing 57 points on Tuesday, the Bay Rockets still came out on top. Bay secured a 62-57 W over Valley Forge. That's another feather in the cap for Bay, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Bay found their leader in underclassman Max Cockburn, who scored 26 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cockburn has scored all season. Evan Alexy was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Bay's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Valley Forge, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.
Bay will head out on the road to square off against Lutheran West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lutheran West presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Bay in Ohio (Lutheran West is ranked eighth, while Bay is ranked 490th). As for Valley Forge, they will be playing at home against University School at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
