There's no place like home for the Asheville Christian Academy Lions, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They skirted past Forsyth Home Educators 34-32. The victory was just what Asheville Christian Academy needed coming off of a 69-32 loss in their prior matchup.
Asheville Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lauren Bass, who scored seven points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ansley Fuchs, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Asheville Christian Academy pushed their record up to 10-12 with that win, which was their third straight at home. As for Forsyth Home Educators, their loss ended a 13-game streak of away wins and brought them to 29-4.
Asheville Christian Academy and Rabun Gap-Nacoochee will face off at 5:45 p.m. on February 10th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Rabun Gap-Nacoochee has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Forsyth Home Educators, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on State Line HomeSchool R at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
