The Cesar Chavez Champions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 23 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Cibola 78-32 at home. The win was nothing new for Cesar Chavez as they're now sitting on five straight.
Gabriel Briones was his usual excellent self, scoring 14 points along with six steals. The matchup was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. Drayce Crenshaw was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five steals.
Cesar Chavez's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Cibola, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.
Cesar Chavez will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Beverly Hills at 4:30 p.m. on December 27th. Beverly Hills will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 453rd in California, while Cesar Chavez is ranked 35th in Arizona). Cibola will be home for the holidays to greet Estrella Foothills at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
