The Crestwood Red Devils waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They secured a 36-32 W over Kirtland. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Crestwood also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Hannah Ward continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played. Livia Martini was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with four steals.
Crestwood's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-9. As for Kirtland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crestwood will take on Mogadore at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Mogadore focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Wednesday. As for Kirtland, they will stay at home for another game and welcome St. Martin de Porres at 11:00 a.m. on January 27th.
