The Cleveland Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the Mannford Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cleveland is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
Cleveland was handed a 35-point defeat in their previous outing, but they didn't let that bad energy affect their game against the Demons on Tuesday. Cleveland sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 49-47 win over the Demons. The win was just what Cleveland needed coming off of a 55-20 defeat in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, Mannford put the finishing touches on their 13th blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Bristow 65-38 at home. Winning may never get old, but Mannford sure is getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
Cleveland's win bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Mannford, their win bumped their record up to 16-2.
Cleveland was dealt a bruising 68-41 defeat at the hands of the Pirates when the teams last played back in January. Can Cleveland avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
