Meanwhile, Avon Lake got the win against North Ridgeville on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0. The Shoremen haven't had any issues with the Rangers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.
One reason for the win was Avon Lake's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-22, 25-13.
Avon Lake's win came from a few key players Avon will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Danielle Hubert, who had 11 digs and two aces. She has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last three times she's played.
Avon's record now sits at 19-0. As for Avon Lake, their record is now 11-8.
