The Bowen Boilermakers will head out on the road to take on the Tilden Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams have allowed few points on average, (Bowen: 22.5, Tilden: 16.4) so any points scored will be well earned.
Last Friday, Bowen didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Air Force Academy, but they still walked away with a 20-14 win.
Bowen's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from D'Mya Adams, who scored five points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Adams is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kimora Myles, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Tilden put the finishing touches on their tenth blowout victory of the season on Monday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 45-11 victory over Corliss. The victory was familiar territory for Tilden who now have three in a row.
Tilden's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rachel Ruiz, who scored 11 points along with five assists. Another player making a difference was Kara Donegan, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
The victory got Bowen back to even at 6-6. As for Tilden, they pushed their record up to 12-2 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home.
Bowen strolled past Tilden when the teams last played back in November of 2022 by a score of 39-24. Does Bowen have another victory up their sleeve, or will Tilden turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
