Holly's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Andre Salgado, who scored 26 points along with five assists. Devin Eaton was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Walsenburg lost, one person who can't be blamed is Elton Chavez. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 28 points and 17 rebounds. Chavez is crushing the rebound category: he's posted at least nine every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabe Barela, who scored nine points.
Holly has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Walsenburg, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-5.
