Football Recap: Pekin Skates Past Limestone with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pekin). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Limestone Rockets 42-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Dragons' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 144th, while the Rockets are ranked 408th).

Pekin has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 26.5 points over those games. As for Limestone, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Pekin is set to face off against their familiar foe East Peoria at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Limestone will take on rival Canton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
