The Archbishop Curley Friars pushed their score all the way to 62 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 68-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of New Hope Academy.
It was another big night for Haki Muhammad , who scored 30 points for New Hope Academy. That makes it three consecutive games in which Muhammad has scored at least 25% of New Hope Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jalen Martinez , who scored 13 points along with 9 rebounds.
Archbishop Curley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for New Hope Academy, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Archbishop Curley will take on Loyola Blakefield at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. New Hope Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Riverdale Baptist at 7:00 p.m. on December 5th.
