Monroe can attribute much of their success to Khaya Moses, who threw for 179 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, and Tajmir Mullins, who rushed for 119 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries. Moses hasn't dropped below three passing touchdowns for six straight games. Robert Arnold also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Another reason for the win was Monroe's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Nahum Perry-Huggins and Arnold who racked up four sacks between them.
Meanwhile, Honeoye Falls-Lima's game on Friday was all tied up 13-13 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They managed a 26-20 win over Batavia.
Matthew Meacham looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 171 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 passes.
Monroe's win bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Honeoye Falls-Lima, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.
Keep an eye on the end zone in Saturday's game as both teams haven't had much trouble getting there this season. Monroe commands a daunting offense this season, having averaged 7.5 touchdowns per game. However, it's not like Honeoye Falls-Lima struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.5 per game.
