Basketball Recap: Make It Seven in a Row for Christian Learning Center

Christian Learning Center is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Center Place. The Christian Learning Center Mustangs came out on top against the Center Place Golden Eagles by a score of 47-39. The Mustangs' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Christian Learning Center's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Abby Jacobs, who went 7 for 14 on her way to 16 points and eight rebounds. Those 16 points gave Jacobs a new career-high. Adelyn Paranto was another key player, putting up 17 points and three steals.

Christian Learning Center's win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.4 points per game. As for Center Place, they moved to 7-2 with that loss, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

Christian Learning Center will look to defend their home court on Monday against Chanute Christian at 5:30 p.m. As for Center Place, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Overland Christian at 6:15 p.m. on January 9, 2025.
