They took their match at home on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 65-22 win over Kingman. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-7.
It was another big night for Amanda Wiley, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it 14 consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Yuma Catholic's points. Another player making a difference was Ximena Poo, who scored 13 points.
Yuma Catholic now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Kingman, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Yuma Catholic will square off against Central at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 845th in California, while Yuma Catholic is ranked 140th in Arizona). Kingman will be staying on the road on January 17th to face off against Parker at 5:30 p.m. on January 17th.
