Kokomo got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Zion Bellamy out in front who went 8 of 12 on his way to 20 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of D.J. Nash, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds.
Tipton's loss ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-3. As for Kokomo, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-4.
Tipton will square off against Hamilton Heights at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Tipton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.2 points per game this season. As for Kokomo, they will head out to take on Lafayette Jefferson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Kokomo knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully Lafayette Jefferson likes a good challenge.
