Wapello will challenge Columbus on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Coming off of a win even when the odds were against them, Wapello have to be feeling especially confident with the MaxPreps state rankings on their side for this one.
Wapello were able to grind out a solid win over Sigourney-Keota last Friday, winning 24-14. The success made it back-to-back wins for Wapello.
Meanwhile, we expected Columbus to have trouble with the significantly higher-ranked Wilton, and they did. Columbus ended up on the wrong side of a painful 8-34 walloping at Wilton's hands. Columbus' defeat continues a disappointing trend for the squad, making it eight losses in a row.
Wapello simply couldn't be stopped the last time the two teams met, as they easily beat Columbus 38-0. Will Wapello repeat their success, or does Columbus have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
