The Newcastle Dogies were the 31-29 winner over the Big Horn Rams when they last played one another back in February of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Newcastle was beaten by Big Horn 54-21 on Saturday. Newcastle has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of
J.J. Lipp and
Pate Tavegie, who each put up five points.
Newcastle now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Big Horn, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Newcastle and Arvada will face off at 5:30 p.m. on December 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Arvada will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 181st in Colorado, while Newcastle is ranked 40th in Wyoming). As for Big Horn, they will be playing at home against Kaycee at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
