Adding to the longest winning streak in D1 District 2 (8 Man) this week, Howells-Dodge beat Omaha Nation 46-14. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
Guardian Angels Central Catholic took down Cedar Bluffs 88-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Kolton Krause made the biggest impact on defense this week as Clarkson/Leigh beat Omaha Christian Academy. The 5-foot-6 junior recorded 2 fumbles.
Dalton Daeges provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Eagles fell to the Patriots. Daeges' key target this week was Clay Hamilton, who caught 3 passes for 35 yards.
John Steffensmeier put up the best numbers in passing as Clarkson/Leigh topped Omaha Christian Academy. He finished with 2 completions for 63 yards and 2 touchdowns.
The Wildcats' Maverick Sukstorf and Austin Conklin led the league in both passing and receiving yards. Sukstorf has thrown for 771 yards this season, while Conklin has 28 catches for 519 yards. Daeges from Tim Hamilton's team leads the league in rushing with 903 yards.
Daeges of the the Eagles is just 97 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Daeges has rushed for 903 yards on 137 carries so far this year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Howells-Dodge takes on Jim Clarkson's team. Mike Speirs' team is currently in first, while the Patriots are in third.
