Blanchester has gone 9-1 against Georgetown recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the G-Men at 5:00 p.m. Georgetown took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Blanchester, who comes in off a win.
It was a proper cat-fight when Blanchester took on Felicity-Franklin on Monday. The Wildcats were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over the Cardinals. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now won five in a row.

Sammy Roush made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out 14 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Blanchester is undefeated when Roush allows one or fewer earned runs, but 3-4 otherwise. Roush was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.
In other batting news, Caleb Sears was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Cole Mueller, who went 1-for-5 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Blanchester always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .526. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Georgetown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Bethel-Tate.
Georgetown saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bradley Ison, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI. Dylan Holtz also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Georgetown's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Blanchester, their record now sits at 7-4.
Everything went Blanchester's way against Georgetown when the teams last played two weeks ago, as Blanchester made off with a 12-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
