The Kentridge Chargers can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Mt. Rainier as Kentridge made off with a 53-29 victory. Given Kentridge's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 94th, while Mt. Rainier is ranked 208th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Kentridge's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sydney Esperanza, who scored 11 points along with seven steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Raelyn Ofrancia, who scored 13 points along with four steals.
Kentridge's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Mt. Rainier, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.
Kentridge will head out on the road to face off against Federal Way at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Federal Way is on a six-game streak of home losses, Kentridge a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. Mt. Rainier will take on Kentwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
