The Briarcrest Christian Saints can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent match on Thursday. They blew past St. Agnes Academy 58-33. Given Briarcrest Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while the Stars are ranked 223rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Briarcrest Christian was led to victory by Kendall Jones and Hallie Turner. Jones scored 11 points along with eight steals, while Turner scored ten points along with five assists and five rebounds. Jones is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Ellen Adair was another key contributor, scoring six points along with four steals.
Briarcrest Christian has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-10 record this season. As for St. Agnes Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-10.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing St. Mary's Episcopal the next time they take the court. St. Agnes Academy will host St. Mary's Episcopal at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while Briarcrest Christian will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
