If the Ridge Community Bolts were riding high off their 75-36 takedown of the Bayshore Christian Faith Warriors last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Ridge Community took a 70-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles on Tuesday. The match was a 32-32 toss-up at halftime, but Ridge Community couldn't quite close it out.
When it comes to explaining why Ridge Community lost, one person who can't be blamed is Siled Morris. Despite the final result, he scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Morris has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Eddy Hyppolite jr., who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.
Ridge Community has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. As for George Jenkins, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-17.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ridge Community will take on the Bloodhounds at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for George Jenkins, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Highlanders at 8:00 p.m. on January 31st. Hopefully Lake Wales focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Tuesday.
