Lely is 0-10 against Naples since April of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Trojans will challenge the Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Lely will be strutting in after a victory while Naples will be coming in after a defeat.
Lely is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 23-8 margin over Gateway Charter on Monday. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Griffins recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Star Orosco made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Those nine strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brooke Bledsoe, who fired off two home runs, six RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-5. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Mary Dalag, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Lely was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .469. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Aubrey Rogers hit Naples with a four-run fifth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Golden Eagles lost 13-5 to the Patriots. The Golden Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Mackenzie Leiti was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.
Naples' loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Lely, their record now sits at 7-14.
Lely suffered a grim 18-8 defeat to Naples in their previous matchup back in February. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
