Volleyball Recap: Lawndale Wins Going Away Against Serra

Lawndale's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Serra Cavaliers with a sharp 3-0 win. The Cardinals were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Cavaliers, so the Cardinals were just returning the favor.

Lawndale never let Serra on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-20, 25-22.

The victory got Lawndale back to even at 1-1. As for Serra, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lawndale will take on Gardena at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Serra, they will square off against New Roads at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
