The Mountain View Toros won the last time they faced the Liberty Lions, and things went their way on Thursday too. Mountain View put the hurt on Liberty with a sharp 50-25 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Mountain View.
Mountain View found their leader in underclassman Emma Fischbeck, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Fischbeck continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Sadie Gardner was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six steals and five rebounds.
Mountain View's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Liberty, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5-1.
Mountain View and Thunderbird will face off at 12:00 p.m. on December 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Liberty won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Pinnacle at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th. Pinnacle presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Liberty in Arizona (Pinnacle is ranked 18th, while Liberty is ranked 144th).
