The Pettus Eagles can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They claimed a resounding 48-20 win over Premont on the road. The victory was just what Pettus needed coming off of a 56-25 loss in their prior match.
Pettus can attribute much of their success to Nathan Orr, who scored 13 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Orr has scored at least 25% of Pettus' points. Seth Guajardo was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 5 rebounds.
Pettus' victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Premont, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.
Pettus will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Banquete at 7:00 p.m. on December 1st. Hopefully Banquete focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Friday. As for Premont, they will head out on the road to face off against Taft at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Taft's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matches.
